Used to introduce the topic of discussion, study, or thought. についての + noun (本, 話) is also used. につきまして is a more formal variant.

〜ずに means 'without doing...', the negative counterpart of the て-form. する becomes せずに. It is more formal and literary than ないで.

Used when a positive outcome is due to something or someone. It can also be used ironically for negative results, but せいで is more common for blaming. おかげさまで is a fixed polite expression of thanks.

Expresses doing something within a period, or that an event happens while another continues. It also has the time-limit nuance while still ~ / before it changes: e.g., 明るいうちに (while it's still light), 若いうちに (while still young). The condition ends once the state changes.

Two main uses: (1) conjecture based on hearsay or evidence ('it seems / I heard that'); (2) typical-of quality when attached to a noun (男らしい, 夏らしい). In form (2) it expresses ideal/representative qualities, not mere resemblance.

Expresses the speaker's desire for another person to do something. てほしい states the wish directly; てもらいたい adds the nuance of wanting to receive the favor. Can be softened with んです/んだけど when making a request.

Expresses that something occurs or is true every time a particular event happens.

Describes that something happens sometimes, as a habit or occasional occurrence. Do not confuse with 〜たことがある (have ever done). With present verbs it means sometimes; こともある adds there are also times when.

Casual spoken equivalents of 〜なければならない. The implied meaning is if I don't do it, something bad will happen. なきゃ is the most casual, なくちゃ is also common.

Emphasizes that a result was achieved only because of the stated reason. Often used with gratitude or justification. It cannot be used when the reason is uncertain or not the main cause.

Describes a sudden beginning: 降り出す, 泣き出す, 走り出す. Also used in the past as 〜出した. Focuses on the beginning, not the continuing action.

〜ようとする expresses an attempt or intention to do something; in the past form 〜ようとした it means 'was just about to do'. The negative 〜ようとしない shows that someone won't try or has no intention to do it.

を通じて emphasizes the medium or channel (internet, experience), while を通して emphasizes the entire duration or process. Often interchangeable.

What changes between grammar levels?
N5 covers basic sentence structure. N4 and N3 add connective forms, conditionals and increasingly formal registers. N2 and N1 expect you to handle academic and business Japanese, including written and spoken styles used in the wild.
